Reports to Operations Manager with dotted relationship with the board, IT and Marketing Department
Job PurposePlan, execute and evaluate the Return On Investment ( ROI) of all business development initiatives to attract, retain and expand a loyal client base

Job Description

1. Business Development and Strategy

Market Research
  • Monitor hospitality trends, competitor activity, client and company, sector and geographic trends, draw conclusions, assess implications and prepare marketing and research reports.
  • Identify customer needs and how they are being met
Marketing Strategy:
  • Collaborate with Jaqanaz Marketing department in creation and execution of the Hotels’ marketing strategic plans.
  • Contribute to development of business plans and work with Operations manager/General manager to execute business development initiatives.
  • Support the Jaqanaz Brand Committee in the management of the Jaqanaz brand.
  • Track industry news for opportunities/issues.
Lead Generation:
  • Identify new and follow up business opportunities for Jaqanaz Resort.
  • Manage the pitch/proposal-development process from start to finish.
  • Identify or create client/prospect outreach development tools such as one-on-one meetings, seminars and speaking engagements, events, sponsorships, client alerts, newsletters, fact sheets and other direct client communications.
  • Develop, tailor and deliver content for RFQs/pitches and client presentations.
Product Development
  • Based on scientific research above advise the Board on new products and services, set prices, targets and oversee their launch upon approval
  • Monitor the product performance until its fully established and it meets its set targets

2. Client Relationship Management

Clients
  • Advise the Management and the Board on client needs.
  • Collect, monitor feedback and maintain a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • Track complaints from the Jaqanaz clients to resolution.
  • Participate in matter review meetings to identify and track opportunities for improving client satisfaction.
  • Building and maintain relationships
  • Negotiating and closing deals
  • Representing Jaqanaz in business related forums and expos.
Publicity:
  • Oversee the development and printing of all marketing collateral.
  • Ensure the Jaqanaz website is up to date, fully functional and representative of the Jaqanaz brand.
  • In collaboration with IT Department manage the Jaqanaz social media channels including engagement, postings and analytics
  • Identify opportunities for thought leadership and other marketing and campaign ideas to increase brand awareness within the practices.
Events Management:
  • Prepare event plans and checklists as per the Jaqanaz business development calendar.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to actualize events
  • Serve as point of contact for professional conferences, sponsorships and seminars.

3. Operational and Support

Departments
  • Collaborating with other departments
  • Managing contracts
BD Administration
  • Track and report on the actual number of wins/losses and reasons for them.
  • Collect and archive matter/case summaries and all related information for use in pitches/RFQs, bios, website, annual review etc.
  • Assist with assessing/recommending priorities for BD plans/budget, track budgets throughout the year and make recommendations to optimize limited resources.
  • Manage all business development processes and procedures.
  • Perform other business development duties as instructed by the Management and the Board.

Job Specifications

Minimum required qualifications & experience

• Diploma in hospitality, marketing or related field
• Proficiency in Website and Social Media platforms and analytics
• At least 2 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales and/or Marketing.
